A HAMPSHIRE boatbuilder has launched a recruitment drive for 100 new staff.
Fairline Yachts, announces it is recruiting more than 100 boat builders in a variety of roles that include carpenters, electrical fitters, engineers, GRP moulders, painters and assemblers at its new manufacturing site in Hythe. The firm say the expansion follows in the wake of impressive sales at the recent Cannes and Southampton Boat Shows.
New members of the Fairline team will help build two new models – the motor yacht the Squadron 64, and the smaller F//LINE 33.
Both new models are set hit the water in in the spring.
Emma Barton, head of HR at Fairline Yachts, said: “This is an exciting time for Fairline Yachts. We are now recruiting for our new factory in Hythe, which will build all our larger yachts, as well as increasing production support at our existing base in Oundle, where our models up to 60 feet in length will continue to be made.
"This success is thanks to a world beating product portfolio, a highly skilled and dedicated workforce and our outstanding global dealer network. I am pleased we have reached the point where we need to grow our teams further so we can continue to satisfy the global demand we have.”
The recruitment drive will bring the workforce at Hythe up 120.
Fairline bought the five-acre facility formerly occupied by Green Marine a year ago.
