TransEurope Marinas members based in the UK and part of the rigourous Gold Anchor Scheme, a marina management certification system, have the opportunity to enter The Yacht Harbour Association’s “Marina of the Year” competition. A total of 160 marinas are accedited via this method around the world.

The process requires berth holders to send in their vote in recognition of those marinas that go the extra mile to offer outstanding quality and service to their berth holders and visitors.

The winners this year were as follows:

Towergate’s Coastal Marina of the Year 2022 – Under 250 Berths
Winner: Emsworth Yacht Harbour
Runner-up: Poole Quay Boat Haven

Towergate’s Coastal Marina of the Year 2022 – Over 250 Berths
Winner: Royal Quays Marina – Boatfolk
Runner-up:  Troon Yacht Haven

Towergate’s Marina Employee of the Year 2022
Winner- John Selman – Beaulieu Marina

For Emsworth Yacht Harbour, a charming family-run marina in Chichester Harbour, this makes two consecutive years in the top slot; a convincing recommendation for boaters seeking a service-led base.

Manager Alison Wakelin commented on the result:
