THE ALL-weather lifeboat launched into rough seas from Yarmouth harbour yesterday (Wednesday) following a report of a wrecked vessel near Barton on Sea.

The team searched two separate areas off the coast for potential casualties alongside police, a mobile coastguard unit and a search and rescue helicopter.

However, nothing was found and as the lifeboat and her crew battled a three to four metre swell and 30 knot winds, the search was called off and the crew returned safely to Yarmouth at 1.20pm.
